The Ritz-Carlton, Los Angeles (solo trip)

Expensive but wonderful. You get what you pay for. Great room, great service and etiquette. No noise issues whatsoever which was a relief. Food is great. Only headache was the small drop-off zone for cars to arrive to the hotel. It doesn't have much space, so it got backed up onto the street. Didn't have to wait too long, but still a bit inconvenient.

I booked a stay at the Ritz-Carlton LA branch on October 4 for December 10. On December 7, they told me that they overbooked the hotel and they need to change my room choice. I can completely understand something like this happening to a cheaper hotel, but excuses like overbooking coming from one of the more luxurious chains like Ritz-Carlton is unacceptable. Honestly I’ve loved every ritz I’ve stayed at. This is by far the worst. Called 3 weeks before my reservation to confirm a king bed for my anniversary. I arrive and get double beds. They tell me there are no kings open. 5 hours later my friend arrives and gets a king (she had no preference). Now sure how that makes sense? Ive never left a review before in my life this is my first one because of how bad this check in experience was. This location has went absolutely down hill. Starting with the front desk manager. I arrived late from a flight. Reception was absolute horrible. Can not imagine this quality service for such a five star location. If you are visiting LA definitely take your money elsewhere.

Amazing stay! This is our favorite hotel in LA. We love the location as it is central to LA and of course the service cannot be beat. We love the spacious rooms even for their entry level rooms.
