Positives:

  • Free entry for babies: Children under 2 enter free, easing your entry cost.
  • Stroller-accessible routes: Wide paths in main halls let you move easily with a stroller.
  • Family care lounges: Private lounges with rocking chairs and changing tables on Levels 1 and 2.

Challenges:

  • Long walking distances: The museum is large—plan regular stops to avoid tiring your baby.
  • Narrow pavilion aisles: Butterfly and Spider Pavilions can be tight—consider a baby carrier instead of a stroller.
  • Loud presentations: Skip the 3D theater; dark rooms and sudden sounds may distress your baby.

My wife and I went for the Cat exhibit. It was great! We were the second family in the Museum and the first in the Cat exhibit. We walked in right at opening at 930 AM. When it starts to get crowded many people/kids crowd the interactive components of most of the exhibits so we always try to go when it opens.

A very enjoyable musuem. The exhibits are really good, especially the dinosaur fossils. Admission is $18 dollars for an adult. They had a special cat exhibit I was looking forward to see, but it was an EXTRA $12 on top of regular admission. The special exhibit was small and the extra fee seemed exorbitant.

Amazing place! And such a great experience. Shout out the kind young Black security guard at the entrance; his warmth and welcome set the tone for the whole visit! The dinosaur skeletons (T. Rex’s, Triceratops, Stegosaurus, and many others were the main event, and did not disappoint. So wild to stand in their presence. Amazing collection, and well displayed. The staff gave fun and interesting fac...

Admission is $18, but teachers, military personn...

At this time, the general admission is $18 per person and the butterfly experience was $10 per person (no cost for children under 3 as well). We were there for about 2.5 hours and covered the first floor with our toddler wande...
