Los Angeles Zoo (solo trip)

The zoo lights during the holidays is fantastic. The zoo itself is great. It's going through a lot of changes lately but still worth a visit. Food here is usually near the entrance with some snack places around the zoo.

A huge zoo with beautiful scenery and exhibits. Many animals in different themed areas. Affordable prices and membership options available. Large free parking lot. Be prepared to spend the whole day exploring — the zoo grounds are enormous.

We love going to the Los Angeles Zoo. We go at least 4 days a week. Its a great place to get your steps in while soaking in the beautiful and amazing animals. It's a treat for the senses! Come meet the 2 adorable newborn baby Chimpanzees that are about 1 month old and check out the Meerkat that's always ready to greet you. I went here on a great day, and it wasn't crowded. There were lots of animal exhibits but the one that I liked the most was the two chimpanzees who recently had babies and were nursing their babies. The Zoo was good in general but I only give it 4 stars because a lot of the exhibits were closed, either without any reason or for renovation. Sadly the elephants are also at another Zoo for the time being, so you won't be able to see any. Other than that I had a good time and it's worth visiting considering the price is also pretty low.
