Great location but definitely lacking in some areas. For the price, the rooms are very dated and old feeling, super noisy (walls feel paper thin), and just the overall vibe of the hotel was lacking the feeling of a 4 star hotel. For the size of the hotel, the pool is also very small.

We stayed here in August so we didn’t know that during summer time this part of Kauai gets big surf. The hotel beach is narrow and small and the waves were quite uncomfortable during this time of the year so we had to drive north beaches to swim comfortably. The hotel itself is nice.
