Royal Lahaina Resort (with baby)

The good: The view from our room was amazing! The hotel is right on one of the most beautiful beaches in Maui. Staff was friendly and the restaurant had tasty options. Each meal we had was excellent 👌🏾. The bad: The breakfast buffet is basically the same each day and the bathroom was a little small and dated. Found a huge stain on the mattress after lifting off the sheets.

However, the room was actually upstairs with no direct beach access – completely different from what “beachfront bungalow” implies. It was disappointing and certainly not worth the price. The resorts location at the beach is great. The food at their restaurant is delicious and the service friendly. The resort itself is getting old. The room we got at first had a great ocean view but it also got a bad smell inside. We were lucky to get another room but we had to compromise the view since we moved 3 levels down.
