Romer House Waikiki (couple trip)

I just share my perspective on the hotel - to me this is definitively NOT a four star hotel which is why there are so many mixed reviews. To me this was an overpriced hotel with good marketing and very few amenities. Pros - Very vice front staff that did their best for where they work - Walkable location and large shopping plaza about half a block away. - Safe area Cons - Overpriced for the size...

The staff here was incredibly nice and helpful. The room was clean. Having refillable water in the rooms was very convenient. The hotel was very centrally located. They let us check in early after our very long red eye flight which made our trip much better. They also stored our luggage for us after check out so we could grab lunch before heading to the airport.

Romer House was a pretty decent hotel, but I will say we were mislead by quite a few things when booking. Most important: The hotel charges $100 a day deposit PLUS resort fees. This means upon arrival, I paid an additional $500. It was a deposit and it was given back to me upon checkout, HOWEVER, the resort fees are subtracted from the deposit and the difference is what you receive back. Their web...

The hotel itself was great and very clean. The low rating is due to some unforeseen issues. Please read their no smoking agreement before signing or booking.
