Hilton Vacation Club The Modern Honolulu (couple trip)

The Modern. We are staying in a standard room, with two full beds. We found out today that Hilton has recently acquired this hotel and will be doing renovations in the future. Thank goodness because we've stayed at multiple Hiltons through the years and couldn't understand how this could be so below their standards. Small uncomfortable beds. Broken fixtures (lamps mostly) worn out areas in furnitu...

Fantastic location and is very affordable. The room is nice, has a great view. However, one downside is the noise near the elevator, which can be a bit of a nuisance. The pool could have been better maintained or more appealing for adults. The service, unfortunately, was slow.

I recently stayed here November 29-December 4 I was not happy with the hotel overall it was not what was advertised the beds were horrible and way to low to the ground the room was not clean to a Hilton standard and was very outdated. Probably one of the worst hotel experiences I've had. Could not do the most basic thing which was to just get a night of rest. Room came in and was a bit dirty and not in great shape. Doors slamming hard, unable to close the closet and bathroom door without slamming it. Shower was clogged upon arrival. I had a "Partial Ocean View" room and was instead just faced right in front of the roof pointed...

We just completed a 6 day stay and can’t say enough about how amazing it was! I’m a former Hawaii resident who brought my Husband to Hawaii for the very first time. We found The Modern to be a great deal budget wise! We especially appreciated the onsite daily breakfast that was included in our room rate. Daily parking of $31 is on the lower end of Waikiki standards. I especially love its location....
