Aston Maui Kaanapali Villas (couple trip)

Overall, 5 stars. Location is good. Right by beautiful beaches. Good for snorkeling and maybe a 10-15 min walk to black rock beach which is a prime spot for snorkeling. The rooms are large and have spacious kitchens. Cleaning staff were great too. Front desk is SoSo (not very friendly or too helpful but not rude). We did see a cockroach in the kitchen, but it’s a tropical region so it happens....

Love everything except few things. Coffee machine was not working properly, we purchased coffee from Foodland grocery store for morning coffee but there was leaking from water container. Yes I know they offer complimentary coffee and tea service daily but the time was 6am to 11am only. Where there was a day we went out at 3am heading to see the sunrise at Haleakala. Good overall value. Spacious accommodations. Lovely grounds. Nice pool. Great beach access. Walkable to other resorts and attractions and there is a free shuttle trolly. Well maintained, but somewhat dated facility. Castaway Cafe has good food and live music.

Price-wise, this is probably considered a mid-scale condominium, but don’t let that fool you—it’s beautiful, clean, and very well maintained. We visited a few other resorts on the island that had restaurants on their property, and we immediately noticed how much better cared for our resort was in comparison. Great location and fantastic swimming beach. Well kept grounds, nice villas (most are individually owned), tropical gardens and landscaping, fun pools. Convenient casual restaurant on site along with beach gear rental, free trolley rides to the rest of Kaanapali. Old school 2 story villas (Plus a mid-rise hotel). Quiet spot.
