Aqua Aloha Surf Waikiki (solo trip)

This older hotel building doesn't have the best appearance. However, it does have good amenities. Pure water dispenser, ice machine 2 areas to park overnight for a fee, elevator, nice view from windows. The windows have heavy light blocking drapes and there are 2 chairs to sit outside on balcony. Easy walk to nearby places. Daily fee for amenities too.

I believe the hotel is attempting to take advantage of me, and it is in absolutely no condition to accommodate a guest with severe allergies, since the curtains in the rooms are heavily mould-infested. Customer service was really good. Rooms where clean, but it looks run down. Our pillows where flat as a pancake. The elevator looks like it's was only clean once in a while. The stairs on both side where disgusting and the door looked like they never been cleaned at all. I didn't even want to touch them. I was a bit worried after reading some bad reviews, but my stay was totally fine. They let me check in early after a long flight and even printed a paper for me for free. Got a moderate room (no balcony) for privacy. The room is basic, and I liked that housekeeping is every 3–5 nights (you can still request fresh towels).
