Nā Pali Coast State Wilderness Park (with kids)

We took 15 family members on the hike from Ke’e beach on the Kalalua trail, on a four mile in and back trail. This breathtaking trail took us up and down, with 1200 feet of elevation gain. Hiked the 11 miles all the way back to the beach. Hike was a little difficult but so worth it. The beach at the end was so pretty. We camped for 2 nights there and then hiked out. There is a water pump down there with fresh water.

It was an unusual paradox to arrive somewhere remote and still hear the constant buzzing of helicopters and boat-motors that you'd encounter in a major metropolis. Camping permits are outdated half measures in reaction to the tourist driven congestion that should signal the need for a broader conversation regarding regulated access legislation. Such a beautiful place. We've hiked it. We boated around it. We swam in the oceans and scuba dived. It's incredible.

Amazing view of NaPali Coast: This is an all-in one Nature’s beautiful package of blue water, splashing waves, magnificent and colorful lava rock mountains, beautiful green cliffs and wedges, mysterious caves, dancing and curvaceous falls. It was a great experience.
