What makes it 56% Baby-Friendly: Parents with infants can picnic under trees and push strollers on paved loops, yet restrooms lack changing tables, garden paths are rough, and steep hikes or sports areas suit older visitors.
Why 1.5-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Allows time for a picnic, stroller walks and diaper breaks without rushing.
Picnic on Grassy Lawns:
Spread a blanket near shaded tables for feeding and resting.
Tip: Bring a portable changing pad, snacks and a lightweight blanket.
Stroller Walk on Park Roads:
Follow paved roads around the gym and sports fields for a smooth ride.
Tip: Use a stroller with good wheels and start early to avoid crowds.
Refill at Water Fountains:
Use free fountains to top up bottles and sippy cups.
Tip: Carry clean bottles and a small cup for easy refills.
Quick Diaper Stop at Restrooms:
Access restrooms next to parking and fields for diaper changes.
Tip: Pack a compact changing pad since no built-in tables are available.

Good parking lot & toilets are available. The challenge of the trail is to climb that 1048 uneven steep steps that made from old military railroad ties without any shades. For first time hikers, beside good physical conditions, bring along stamina, strong will & endurance. dress code depends on the day. It could be very sunny all the way, windy on the top. Time the hike with a plan is always...

Awesome nearly 2 mile hike but with 1k in elevation. Large lot with free parking - plenty of spots at 6am open to get to the summit by sunrise, plus plenty around 7:30 when I was done. When you get to the bridge, you can take the path to the right for a much easier and safer route.

This is not for someone that does not do some regular physical activity. I’m 62 and in reasonably good shape and by the end I felt like my heart was beating out of my chest. However, it’s a unique hike and there was a sense of accomplishment making it to the top. Once there, the views are spectacular.

The snorkeling was absolutely worth it!! Our Mother in law who needs assistance with wheelchairs was able to get into the ocean. We had the best time. Great family environment! Seeing the fish was so fun. Thank you for preserving such a beautiful path of Oahu.

Absolutely nice trail. Disclaimer: Trail intensity is moderate-high This trail is not for everyone. You will need between 30-45 minutes to reach the top if you have a normal condition. Is not for: Poor condition people Knee injured Poor knee condition Children People with cheap slippers
Visit before 9 AM in summer to beat the heat. Always pack sun protection. Between November and March, bring a lightweight rain cover for sudden showers.
