The Stephen F Austin Royal Sonesta Hotel (solo trip)

The hotel has a great vibe and a great location. Most importantly, it has great service. They served an excellent scotch at check-in, they put great chocolates in the shape of an F1 car in our room, and everyone from the front desk staff to the excellent manager, Ric, worked hard to make sure we felt at home and were well taken care of. I really enjoyed the pool as well. Overall, a great stay.

I had an incredible experience at this hotel. The people working there are so kind, thoughtful, and helpful. They made my stay amazing and even gave me cool historical facts about the hotel too. (Like Miss Congeniality was filmed right there). The rooms are fancy and cozy. It feels very safe. Overall it is a top tier hotel with great vibes. If you book, you will not regret it.

Location is great. Housekeeping didnt come until about 30 minutes to checkout, and then just barged in without knocking. The room itself was ok- bathroom setup was a little weird, like no place for your towel after you shower. Soft water, and no water pressure. Pool was okay, but nothing like the pictures. We had a really nice stay here. Manager Rodney helped us and our room was very spacious & comfortable - couch & bed were both really comfy.
