I will always take a plunge in Barton Springs pool when in the area. Cold but refreshing. South-side parking was challenging (-1 one star). Entrance fee is reasonable and easy peasy online ticket purchasing available. Nice crowd size in the pool.

Barton Springs Municipal Pool – A Classic Austin Experience Barton Springs is an absolute gem. We had no trouble grabbing tickets at the window with good old-fashioned cash (just a heads-up: cash only!). While we didn’t use the ticket kiosks, we saw plenty of people struggling with them—lots of confused faces and short lines of frustrated folks. Do yourself a favor and just head to the window. T...

This place was magnificent. It really was one of the highlights to my Austin adventure. It was comfortable and felt very safe. I will say the patrons were not as friendly as i would have expected but that is not the pools fault. The salamanders were soooo cute. I love it.

Fed by natural spring water, the pool stays a refreshing 68–70°F year-round, which feels amazing when escaping Austin’s heat. Whether you’re swimming laps or lounging under the trees, it’s always relaxing and peaceful. Surro...

The entrance is chaotic, especially as a first time visitor. There’s not clear, large signage and the construction pathway made us question if we’d made a mistake in coming and if we were even in the right spot. But once we paid our entry fee and got beyond all the chaos, we discovered a pretty unique and beautiful treasure. A balance between natural spring and pool infrastructure - you can tell ...
