I was in Atlanta for a tradeshow and was booked into a hotel that overlooked the park. Unfortunately, I could only visit the park during the night, I felt perfectly safe walking in the park and loved all the lighting of the fountains, and Fairs wheel. The aquarium is also in this same area. I felt the night really showed its beauty. There is plenty of places to eat and socialize within walk...

Nice place to take a walk when you're in the area. We stayed a few nights nearby and it was nice to have a nice open area to walk the dog. The park was never crowded and there was enough staff and police around to keep the environment safe. After 10, the park would be closed, but I could still walk my dog around the perimeter right before bedtime.

An amazing retreat for families and friends. This park, which was part of the 1996 Olympics, offers plenty to enjoy and explore. The area is expansive and easily takes around 30 minutes or more to walk through, with lots of open spaces to relax and take in the surroundings. Its location near the World of Coca-Cola and the Georgia Aquarium makes it especially convenient, and together the entire are...

Today I visited Olympic Park and it was beautiful and peaceful! Located in the middle of the city, it offers amazing views of the surrounding area. I saw many tourists visiting and taking photos throughout the park. If you’re in Atlanta visiting the aquarium or other attractions, don’t forget to stop by this place. It’s definitely worth a visit! Highly recommend for anyone looking for a relaxing s...

A fun place to walk around or stop for a coffee. Fall was in full effect for my visit, but the sun was most welcome. There is a mix of grass, paths, and monuments. There are some interesting info boards, too. I ran laps around the park just after sunrise, and this felt safe. There are a few homeless folks in and around the park, but they mostly keep to themselves.

When is the best time to visit Centennial Olympic Park (Atlanta, United States)?

In summer, visit early or late to avoid midday heat and enjoy splash pad; from June to August free WindDown concerts run on Wednesday evenings near the fountain. In cooler months (Nov-Mar), splash pad may be off but light shows still run year-round.
