Holiday Inn Manchester - West (solo trip)

Staff are absolutely first class. From. The super lady at reception to dinner service and the cooking team. The chefs are top class. Second time we have eaten here in so many weeks. Totally superb. Some constructive criticism. If IHG could spare your Manchester West Chef for a few days, he or she could teach your IHG Sheffield Holiday Inn Chef how to cook.

I'd give this place 10 stars for service if I could. Last stayed here several years ago and remembered the food was good. I was impressed that it's not just good, it's great. Awful Staff. Awful hotel. I had booked a twin bed as I was traveling with my daughter, but once we got there, the girl at the reception, Sophie, very rudely told us that there were fully booked. And if she “tried hard”, she might get a queen bedroom. When i first arrived, l had a few issues with check in and confusion over my work £25 pre paid allowance, but the manager was very helpful and sorted things out. The rooms are standard but clean. However, the food for breakfast and dinner was spot on. Would stay again if working in the area.

Stayed in this hotel twice, once in 2023 and once this year in 2025 and both times the service was exceptional. Like all hotels, a bit pricey but the only place I could find just outside Central Manchester with secure, free parking guarded by a gate and CCTV.
