I'm a member and visit frequently . It's been a delight to see how the gardens have evolved over time and the keen gardener will find plenty of food for thought and practical ideas to take home. Personally I wish they would up their retail game as the plant shop has very little that reflects the garden itself and is all rather "garden centre" but it's still all well worth a day out , and return ...

These gardens are lovely to walk around. Lots of beautiful plants and trees. They have a lovely childrens area. We didn't go to the forest part so can't comment on that. In the walled garden, they have vegetables growing and there was an opportunity to purchase surplus veg which we took advantage of. There is a pizza place within the gardens which was open and a cafe which I think they open on bus...

We visited in the summer and we visited this weekend and I have to say the gardens are magnificent in their splendid autumn colours. The planting schemes are impressive and maybe need a few more years to be at their best but as a new garden goes it’s a belter. Japanese garden is taking shape with what looks like the creation of a large pool. Plus beyond on the terraces of the old house that burn...

After watching the building of this wonderful site I along with my daughter journeyed to see how things had turned out. We were not disappointed. We picked a day that was wall to wall sunshine and reasonable temperatures and just wandered around the beautifully structured paths and just kept finding areas of delight. It was busy but never felt overwhelming. Lovely to see RHS seating on quite a siz...

Lovely peaceful garden with a great variety of planting. Very wheelchair friendly. Dogs (except service dogs) not allowed, which for me personally made a refreshing change, but worth noting for dog owners. We didn't go in the main café but had really good, fresh, large pizzas at the Stables café - recommended.
Spring brings bluebells and blossom in the woodland. Summer offers orchard flowers and warm picnic spots. In autumn, see pumpkins and turning leaves in the Kitchen Garden. Book early for the winter Glow light trail.
