Norfolk Towers Paddington (solo trip)

Very basic hotel in a nice area close to everything. Room we were in was small with two single beds. Shower was really good as was the breakfast which was essentially all you can eat. Bar not much in use but plenty of pubs nearby. Tube a short walk away.

While the stay wasn't bad at all, for a 4 star hotel I did kind of expect not to have to use the side entrance to get to my room. It was either the side entrance or go through a kind of not very clean alley that was between the main building and a side building... Decent spot if you're just looking for a place to crash near Paddington. The room was compact, but they've clearly thought about the details, like a heated bathroom mirror that actually works, decent shower setup, and they've even added an EU outlet in the room. Didn’t stay here but my child took the wrong bus and ended up in a part of London she was unfamiliar with and her phone battery was about to run out. She entered the hotel for help and the reception staff kindly charged her phone and let her wait on the lobby sofa for me to drive over and pick her up. Very much appreciated and thank you to the wonderful reception staff.

Our room was clean and comfortable although very small (typical for these older buildings). The staff was very friendly and helpful. Always saying goodmorning as you walked by. The breakfast was sufficient. Had all the basics and it was really nice being able to have something in the hotel before going out. The location is BRILLIANT.
