First time visiting this zoo. A really good zoo with a variety of animals. You can book animal experiences. The enclosures are kept clean. There are a variety of walk-throughs where you can meet the animals and be up close to them. Great for a family day-out or as a couple. At the time I went, If you have a rail card you can also get 2 for 1 entry.

We went to the zoo with high expectations, but unfortunately, there weren’t as many animals visible as we had hoped. I’m not sure if it was due to the time of day or another reason, but overall it felt more like a walk through a large park with just a few animals scattered along the way. The highlights were definitely the gorillas, giraffes, Komodo dragon, and penguins, which were fascinating to s...

Great day out, the zoo itself is absolutely massive! We spent a good 3 hours there if not more. There was so much to see and it was nice to see the animals had good sized enclosures etc. There was a couple of cafes around were we stopped to have a sandwich throughout. The staff were very helpful and pointed things out whoch we really liked otherwise we probably would've missed some things so reall...

A really cool and big zoo. There were a lot of opportunities to get up close with the animals and it was a fun experience. The tickets were a bit expensive, but considering the enclosures were pretty large, I can understand why. The lines were insanely long at opening, but staff were able to get through everyone quickly. It was super helpful to have bought the tickets in advance.
In winter months, penguins are more active in cooler weather, making Penguin Beach lively. Spring brings newborn chicks—look for signage near enclosures. Arrive early in summer to avoid peak heat and crowds. Check the zoo website for seasonal events like 'Boo at the Zoo' in October.
