Travelodge Edinburgh Central (couple trip)

Booked family room, 2 adults 1 child. Room was spacious and was in perfect location for holiday. 10 minute walk from train station, as it was close to royal mile we could walk the length of it easily and not worry about walking back to hotel. Plenty of cafes nearby for food / drink. Room was by road which goes quiet in the evening so don't have to worry about being awake at night. Could see Arthur...

Lovely clean room. Helpfull staff Dinner dissappinting on both days. Burn Chicken, burnt garlic bread but did not ruin our stay All in All brilliant value for money.

Travel lodge have cut back all the UK hotels we visited to the most basic of services. For the moderately high price you essentially get a room, a towel and two tea bags. All other necessities such as a bath mat, face washer or hair drier are not provided. Staff were very friendly and helpful, food was just ok. A low budget franchise but this building is in very good shape. Supreme rooms very comfortable, with coffee machine and kettle. Fantastic location, just down the road from the Royal Mile and a short walk to the town centre and the university (in opposite directions). Friendly staff. Lots of restaurants, coffee shops and pubs nearby.

Good location , but the room itself could be improved Booked a super room which was not super I thought it would have been bigger and more luxurious but it was standard size and quality. No fridge or cushion only included in the newer style locations . There was a coffee machine in the room with no imprints on the pods so was unaware of was contained in the pods .
