Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbridge (couple trip)

My room at the Moxy Edinburgh Fountainbrige was comfortable and quiet, so ideal for my requirements other than the lack of a full-sized desk. That said, the lobby area is a pleasant place to sit and work. The breakfast buffet was very good, offering a selection of pastries, cooked dishes and continental choices.

A great stay. Rooms are a bit small, but completely functional. Otherwise, the hotel was very clean and nicely decorated. The hotel let us check in super early after arriving from a long day of travel, which was very appreciated. About a 10 minute walk from the tram, and an easy 1 mile walk to the centre of Edinburgh.

We didn’t have the best welcome we’ve ever had at a hotel. The room (250) was in a very good condition, except for the bathroom lock. But it was the only problem we encountered. From there everything went from fair to very good. The location of the hotel is excellent, it has two supermarkets and bakery nearby and just outside there are bus stops for 3 bus lines (1, 34, 35). A pretty solid hotel if you are looking for an affordable, no-frills experience. Pretty close to everything, maybe a 10 minute walk to the Grass market area where you can find lots of great restaurants and shops. Umbrellas are for rent only. The staff are pretty nice and accommodating. They cleaned the room but never refilled towels, tea, cups, etc. so I had to go down and ask for those things. Ea...

The hotel is in good location, rooms are nice and clean but not very well equipped, there's not a safe or fridge. Water pressure is pretty low. Breakfast selection is good for one or two days but if you stay longer it's still the same (and the coffee is disgusting). I wasn't satisfied with the cleaning service. They didn't provide us any toilet paper even that we only had about half a roll remaini...
