Hub by Premier Inn Edinburgh City Centre, Rose Street (couple trip)

This hotel is centrally located with basic but comfortable rooms and is reasonably priced (240 pounds for two nights on weekdays in mid October). My room had no window, but didn’t feel claustrophobic at all. The room was small, but comfortable and clean. The bed would have been too small for two adults though. I’m telling you right now, if you care about cleanliness and location only as I did this is not the place. There was mold throughout the bathroom, the walls were covered in nasty scuffs, the areas that are high-touch surfaces were not disinfected (I know because I wiped them and came back with dirt and dust), and there was lint/dust on the bedding. We have historically loved the Premier Inn brand, and have been quite loyal return guests (20+ stays), but this location fell wildly short. Simple, but very well executed. We stayed here for one night when passing through Edinburgh, and the biggest perk is definitely the location! We especially loved how close it was to the 100 Airport express bus service, and to some really lovely restaurants. Free tea and coffee in the lounge was appreciated!
