Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre (with baby)

We’re giving this hotel a 3/5 given its central location and decent breakfast. I would say the rooms leave something to be desired. Ours had an odd smell, the shower head was broken, and certain parts of the shower were quite dirty. We did enjoy the beds and storage areas in the room, room was also sizable. Good location to hit the tourist spots in Edinburgh. Price was steep for an HIE. Parking is not included though they have 5ish standard and 2 handicap parking spaces in a lot behind the hotel which worked out for us but is limited, 20 pounds a night. Breakfast was good but very busy. No pool/hot tub. Can check your bags early and leave them late.

We had a great experience staying here. So nice to have a warm breakfast before heading out for the day. There is a small grocery store nearby for snacks, take away and drinks. Staff was amazing. We were able to store our big luggage here and take a 3 day trip with just backpacks to London. It was a little pricey, but it was during the festival so it was a fair price for the time of year. Highly recommend. Great staff, Comfortable rooms, little extras like coffee, tea and hot chocolate 24 hours a day. Very accommodating to extra needs like bags of ice 3 times a day and extra pillows. Easy access from airport (tram stop in front of hotel. A little farther to walk to buses. Will call cab for you if needed.

We had a fantastic stay at the Holiday Inn Express Edinburgh City Centre! The location was incredibly central, which made it so easy to explore the city on foot.
