Holiday Inn Edinburgh Zoo (couple trip)

A last-minute booking at a great rate in what for me is a nostalgic spot - right next to the Zoo behind with views out toward the Pentland Hills at the front. Staff were incredibly helpful and kind, they were always ready to answer questions and help. We loved the proximity to the zoo and the easy bus links into the city. Really had a good time at this hotel. Rooms were nice and clean, only a couple of old stains on carpets here and there but nothing major. A decent enough swimming pool, a well equipped gym and a proper sauna were a good extra touch. The bar/restaurant looks great, drinks weren’t too expensive for a hotel and food was delicious. Only good for the location really. 2 adults and 2 kids but they hadn't made up the beds for the kids. So some randomer came up to do it while we were in the room after we'd complained.
