I booked the hotel about 3 months ago via booking.com. Exactly 2 days before my stay, the hotel messaged me that they do not have the room, and transferred my booking to another hotel. Room was nice but cleanliness was better in a hostel. Found blood and toenails in my bed which is odd because when I asked the front desk they said rooms are cleaned in-between people. I am doubting this since when I went to shower the soap bottles were also empty…oh well. For well over 300 pounds in a family room, you’d be better off booking somewhere else with higher cleanliness standards.

Comfortable place to stay in Edinburgh. We found it was conveniently located for all the places we visited, but does take some walking. Note that they offer different flavors of what they call the family room, either as one larger room and as two smaller separate rooms. You might want to ensure in advance that you are getting the option you want.
