Edinburgh Marriott Hotel Holyrood (with kids)

I only have experience with the spa, but just wanted to say that Katie was an absolutely stellar therapist; it was one of the best massages I've ever had. Kind, perfect pressure, and great & relaxing technique. The pool area is a bit small but the sauna was also very nice.

The room was a million degrees and the thermostat had no effect, the halls were incredibly loud so I could hear people using the elevator at all hours in the night, including chimes and doorbells. The location is unreal, right next to Arthur's Seat with views that just can't be beat, and it's a super easy walk to all the main sights like the Royal Mile. We stayed here recently with another couple and had a wonderful experience. Our rooms were clean and very comfortable, and the M lounge was quite nice, but small. The front desk staff, in particular Maddie and Rae were extremely helpful answering questions, calling local attractions to have our questions answered and recommending great dinner spots. This is not a 4 star hotel by any stretch of the imagination. I wanted to like it but it was below par. The room was the most disappointing. The most basic room I have ever stayed in of any brand.
