Cairn Hotel & Apartments (solo trip)

Stayed in cairns apartment, very nice rooms, incredibly clean. Tv in an awkward spot. Would definitely stay again. Unfortunately parking at the hotel is impossible, the front of the hotel is reserved for council workers, the other side is extortionate and only 4 hours.

Cairn was the perfect hotel for our stay! The room was a bit small but had a spacious bathroom and big bed, plus, how long do you really spend in the room anyway? All services worked and the location was a short walk to city center! Helen was a gracious staff member and really helped us out when we needed it. Thanks again!

Do not ruin your trip to Edinburgh by making the mistake of booking this hotel. Their plumbing stops functioning (toilets don’t flush, showers don’t produce water) if multiple guests shower simultaneously. We booked a 3 bedroom apartment. The apartment is old and in need of updates. Our apartment did not have a dishwasher and the hotel charges extra if all the dishes are not washed, dried and put away manually. The bathroom fixtures felt old and rickety.
