What makes it 65% Baby-Friendly: Stroller access and nearby toilets help, yet baby-change tables and nursing rooms are not confirmed, and exposure to wind or rain may cut visits short.
Why 0.5-1 hour visit duration is ideal for with baby: A short, flat route keeps the walk within your baby’s routine and allows time for rests and feeding.
Pram-Friendly Bridge Walk:
Push your stroller along the smooth east footpath to the viewpoint for views of all three bridges.
Tip: Pause on low stone walls to rest and let your baby take in the fresh sea air.
Use Viewpoint Café & Facilities:
Grab a hot drink and use the nearby public toilets with a basic baby-change area.
Tip: Bring a travel mat. For a full change table, walk 5 minutes to Hawes Pier’s Changing Places.
Short Trail Section to Marina:
Walk the first 200 m of the Forth Bridges Trail to Port Edgar Marina then return.
Tip: This route has smooth paths and few steps to fit into your baby’s schedule.

Was great to see this amazing piece of engineering up close, if your in the area, it’s definitely worth popping by, and the village there is really sweet.

South Queensferry is an excellent town with great views of the bridges and shipping traffic. nice walks along the promenade and boat trips down the river offering opportunities to get excellent photos and views of the bridges. The other two bridges look great but you can’t get a photo of them separately from there. If it’s a nice weather day and/or on the weekend be prepared to have to park your car a bit out of the village down the road and walk in - there’s l...

It was the last stop on our Edinburgh itinerary… We debated a lot about whether to go or not since it’s quite far from the city center, but it’s definitely worth the visit. Especially if you go at sunset, you’ll be greeted with an incredible view. The sea breeze, the charming little town nearby, and the two magnificent bridges make it a perfect spot — an absolute must-visit!
In summer, visit early to avoid midday heat. In winter, check wind forecasts and dress your baby in layers. Paths can be slippery after rain.
