Positives:

  • Calm Shallow Water: A natural reef barrier keeps water waist-deep up to 30 m from shore, safe for young swimmers.
  • Natural Shade: Casuarina trees line the beach, offering shaded spots for breaks and picnics.

Challenges:

  • Basic Facilities: Public toilets are simple and may require park entry. Bring a portable changing mat.
  • Heat and Sun: Temperatures rise midday. Use sun protection and refillable water bottles.

This beach looks better on photos than in reality. There is litter everywhere and it is very crowded. Compared to other beaches in south Thailand, this is very low class.

It was a totally unexpected discovery towards the end of my trip to Thailand. I loved the surrounding “woods” and beach itself was calm and had many cafes dotting it. It wasn’t too clean though and I found a lot of garbage floating in the water. But the incredible sunset more than made up for it.

Disgusting! The beach is littered with trash and there's plastic in the water. Swimming here is like being in a soup full of plastic bags. And what's worse, there's a kite surfing school operating right on the beach, among the swimmers! They're teaching beginners, and one of the sails hit me and another guy on the head. A man next to me had to dive down just in time, otherwise he would have been r...

True locals beach, beautiful sandbars, little tertiary stream running down, just gorgeous and probably close to 1,500-2,000 metres long. Barely any people but locals and wow, just stunning. A nice day trip.

When is the best time to visit Naiyang Beach (Phuket, Thailand)?

From November to February, look for sea turtle nests on the sand. In April during Songkran, join local baby turtle release events.
