What makes it 80% Solo-Friendly: Solo travelers get calm sand to unwind, budget yoga classes, village markets, and safe daylight lifeguard cover; only drawback is limited night buses so late returns need taxis.
Why 1-2 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Allows time for a beach walk, temple visit and a quick activity without rushing

Tip: Wear shorts and hand wraps; book your spot a day ahead to secure a trainer
Explore Wat Baan Kamala Temple:

For us the best beach in the area, I'd place it over Karon and Kata. It's a long sandy beach, at our time there the water was clean and nice to swim in. The beach has a line of palm trees so there is natural shade everywhere. It's not overcrowded with sunbeds which is a plus as well. Overall a great peaceful beach to visit.

Really hard to find a bathroom here just FYI. Only one in the beach walkway and you have to pay 10 baht. Beautiful beach though with tons of restaurants and 7-11 close by. Kamala is a nice area, but the beach is by far not the nicest in the island. You can see some cool creatures and shells around though, but it’s also a bit dirty (especially after a tide comes in).

Kamala beach offers scenic views and a calm atmosphere, rather than those seeking nightlife or a lot of nearby dining options. For peace and tranquility — Kamala is perfect. For action and entertainment — Patong would be better.

This is mine and my husband‘s favorite peach and the cat lots of nice waves to play in amazing coconuts. The sand feels nice. It’s not dirty lots of chic people around good restaurants.

One of the best sunset views I’ve ever seen anywhere in the world—the sky keeps changing colors and it’s absolutely mesmerizing. There are plenty of activities to enjoy along the beach. The only downside is the frequent approach from traders, which might interrupt the peaceful vibe for some visitors.
From May to October, expect brief heavy rain in afternoons. Plan outdoor activities before noon or after showers. Peak season (Nov–Mar) has calm seas and cooler mornings.
