cockroaches were crawling on the curtain right next to my head! I killed three of them myself, but more kept appearing, so I gave up playing assassin and just accepted the creepy reality. Mosquitoes were also relentless, buzzing around constantly. To sleep, I had to stuff earplugs in my ears, tape my mouth shut, and pray nothing crawled up my nose. The bed was no better stiff, and so uncomfortable...

The location was good, and I can’t deny there was a cool crowd, but the rooms were terrible—even for the price. Everything was super old. There was no lift. The floors were badly scratched, and the do...

Mad monkey Bangkok was a great time. Clean rooms and good beds. The staff was very friendly and they always were recruiting for the next activity. Shout out to Natty

Great stay for meeting new people. During my solo trip to Thailand I found it boring after a while being solo. Found this hostel during a quick Google search and had a great time and met nice people to explore Bangkok with. Rooms are clean and cheap. However, the location is far from Khao San and it is noisy at night until around 10 pm. If your goal is to go to Khao San Road, it is better to stay at a hotel that is not here because it is too far to go on foot. They suspected I had brought beer. Not a good feeling and will never go there again.
