A-One Bangkok Hotel (couple trip)

Old hotel renovated. But still OLD and DIRTY! Unwelcoming, dirty room, bad location. Nothing around. Feel very bad staying. Can’t sleep. Management refuse to give any compensation for no better room can offer. Paid full but receive below standard room!

Negative experience, the manager is very rude to customers and he doesn't even listen to what customer is saying. Staff needs to learn etiquettes and also to behave properly especially with international customers. Also they need to learn basic English. Even at the breakfast counter it is hard to communicate any need as the staff only knows one language.

It is a nice hotel with courteous working staff. However, hotels dealing with international customers need Managers who can, as a minimum, understand what someone is telling and communicate properly. Unfortunately the Manager of this hotel gave us a very bad experience due to his inability to understand English. In conclusion I am very satisfied. The room was larger than I expected, the bathtub, the atmosphere in the hotel, and the cleanliness of the room exceeded my expectations. The only bad points I can say are that the air conditioning is not adjustable and it is very cold when on, and the shuttle bus is not on time. The location is not great, but I am satisfied with this service.

Overall, it’s an okay hotel. The best thing about it is definitely the value for money — especially if you skip the breakfast, which honestly isn’t worth it. The rooms were fine, nothing special. The hotel was under renovation when I stayed, so that affected the overall experience a bit.
