Playground, flat bike paths, lawn games, monitor-lizard spotting and 40-THB paddle boats entertain children; free entry helps budgets, but open lake edges, heat and limited staff supervision require vigilance.

Positives:

  • Free entry: No admission fee lets you allocate budget to activities and snacks.
  • Shaded spots: Large trees offer cool breaks and picnic areas throughout the park.
  • Paved walkways: Smooth paths ease stroller use and safe cycling for kids.

Challenges:

  • Midday heat: Temperatures can exceed 35°C; carry hats and plenty of water.
  • Rain showers: Sudden afternoon rains may disrupt outdoor play in the wet season.
  • Crowded playground: Local children arrive after school, so expect queues from 4–6 PM.

  1. Free entry with vast lawns and shaded picnic spots
  2. Fenced playground safe for ages 3–12
  3. Fun swan pedal boats on the central lake

A well kept park sits in the middle of Bangkok, 15 minutes walk from COMO Metro. It's Bangkok's Central Park. It has many monitor lizards, a recreation center (members only) with two hard tennis courts. A library - the first public library in the nation, all the books I saw are paperbacks. Chinese pavilion (red).

It feels like a true oasis in the middle of the bustling city, with its spacious walkways, serene ponds, and the striking backdrop of towering skyscrapers. The park is perfect for a morning jog, a leisurely walk, or simply to relax and watch life go by. Despite the many trees, there is surprisingly littl...
