Occidental Barcelona 1929 (with baby)

My partner and I really enjoyed our stay here. Check in was easy and our room was modern, comfy bed and good shower. The hotel is in a lovely neighbourhood and is just outside the metro station. Reception was helpful with our requests for room cleaning or any other needs, however the bar staff upstairs looked miserable and the cocktails they made were not the best to be honest. Great hotel to explore Barcelona. Rooms are small but nice details and contemporary. Breakfast was good with many options to choose from. The best is the rooftop and pool. Quite small and not deep, more for cocktails and views.

I had a terrible experience during my stay. Around 4 AM, someone started banging aggressively on our door and singing loudly for about 10 minutes. It was frightening and felt completely unsafe. I couldn’t sleep at all afterward — not even 5 minutes — and had a 13-hour international flight back to Canada the next day. Amazing place to stay if you're in the city. Close to plaza España from where you can basically get to any spot in the city quite quickly. Our room was clean, the hotel gym was small but sufficient for a quick workout. The rooftop bar with pool is very nice and offers some great views! Absolutely recommended!

Great place. Really nice and in a very central location. Next to the very cool mall. The only thing is that the room was tiny. The shower and the bathroom was amazing but there was no closet to put luggage or any other table or folding valet for the suitcase, so you had to flip it onto the bed to get your clothes.
