How Baby-Friendly is Port Olímpic?

66%Baby-Friendly
View Map

What makes it 66% Baby-Friendly: Stroller-friendly promenades and gentle beach shallows welcome babies, and nearby restaurants offer high chairs, yet lack of nursing rooms and scarce shade make hot midday stays less comfortable.

Reviews4.4/ 5
(from 23,005 reviews)

Positives:

  • Stroller Friendly: Flat, paved paths and beach-side ramps work well for baby strollers.
  • Accessible Facilities: Public toilets and adapted showers are free along Nova Icària Beach.
  • High Chairs Available: Most terrace restaurants at Port Olímpic provide free high chairs.

Challenges:

  • No Dedicated Nursing Room: There is no official nursing lounge; consider using restaurant family restrooms.
  • Crowded Weekends: Markets and beach bars fill up quickly on weekends, which can overwhelm a baby.
  • Limited Shade on Beach: Beach umbrellas can sell out; bring your own small sunshade if possible.

Great Place to wander around Still one of my favourite spots in Barcelona. This brings back a lot of memories from my youth! It changed dramatically through the years but is still a great place to wander around, admire the boats have a drink or an ice cream.

Super cool to take pictures. Great place to visit 🥰😍😍😍. astonishing view, clean beach normally full of people. Neat and clean area we can even rent boats here. If you’re looking for a refresher place to spend a day this might be the best place for you. Also there are few restaurants, if you’re around must visit here. Highly recommended.
