Positives:

  • Hands-On Learning: Kids can engage with puzzles and interactive displays during the treasure hunt.
  • Open Play Areas: Grassy terraces let children run and rest between activities.

Challenges:

  • Steep Stairs: Many steps around the fortress can tire young children; plan breaks.
  • Uneven Terrain: Stone paths may be slippery; wear sturdy shoes and watch small kids.

She’s super old, has dramatic history and has all the views. She’s a melodrama. I’m kidding. She’s a castle. Originally built for war, now it’s just where people come to take selfies. Great place to feel powerful and irrelevant at the same time. Bonus: there’s a cannon you’re not allowed to climb on but will absolutely consider climbing on. The views are a must.

A must visit location if you are in Barcelona. You access the funicular to the ticket station from any metro and then take the cable car up the mountain to get best views of the city. The tickts to visit the castle was free. Wether and view from the castle terrace was amazing. There is a small food cart inside for a drinks and snacks

Montjuïc Castle is definitely worth a visit, especially for the breathtaking 360° views over Barcelona and the sea. The site is very well maintained and easily accessible — you can reach it by bus 150 from Plaça Espanya, by cable car, or by car. That said, as a castle, I personally expected a bit more. While the open spaces, walls, and viewpoints are beautiful, I felt it lacked historical exhibit...

It’s extremely hot. I don’t recommend visiting on August month. The Castle itself is alright. There’s an ongoing construction so it was kind of noisy. The view is amazing, which we can still see without going inside the Castle as the route is uphill. We opted for the general admission. We would’ve probably enjoyed it more and understood the history if we did the guided tour. From their site: Admi...

It’s an enjoyable experience with a lovely atmosphere. The view from the top is fantastic, and the photos you can take from the teleferic are amazing. To get there, take the metro from Catalunya to Paral•lel, then walk through the station until you reach Parc de Montjuïc using same metro ticket, where you can catch the teleferic. You'll need to buy tickets for the teleferic at the ticket office th...
