What makes it 73% Kids-Friendly: School-age children can imagine Olympic races on the track, join museum games and run safely on the wide esplanade, yet steep steps and scarce playground gear mean parents must supervise closely.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: This allows time to tour the stadium, visit the museum, and let kids play on the esplanade.
Self-guided stadium tour:
Enter through the Old Marathon Gate and walk the historic corridor up to the track-level terraces.
Tip: Use the free stadium map app to point out the Torch Tower and Olympic cauldron.
Esplanade play time:
Let kids run and imagine Olympic feats on the flat Anella Olímpica esplanade.
Tip: Bring a light ball or frisbee for extra fun on the lawn.
Olympic & Sport Museum:
Explore interactive exhibits on high-performance sport and Olympic history.
Tip: Visit on Sundays when children under 8 enter free and try the family ‘Hall Escape’ challenge.
Montjuïc pool visit (seasonal):

A magnificent, iconic stadium. Easy to get there from the city, easy to navigate and the staff was very kind and helpful. Came here for El Clasico and everything went very smooth. Great security, felt very safe. During exiting the stadium it was not crowded at all, no long lines whatsoever. Coming to Estadi Olimpic for a sports event is truly a breathtaking experience!
Visit June–September to swim at the Montjuïc pool; in October join free Viu Montjuïc guided tours; spring and autumn bring milder weather and fewer crowds.
