A lovely monument. With the hustle and bustle of La rambla the walk we had was enjoyable. This monument a nice addition at the end.

Absolutely stunning monument in Barcelona! Christopher Columbus pointing towards America towers over the Harbour. There are usually markets around and it's a very festive area to visit.

As with all things in Barcelona, beautiful architecture and detail in the buildings and monument. This is by the sea front at the harbour. We didn't go up the monument as we were heading out on a boat trip around the coastline and harbour, which was only a few yards away. There are lots of beautiful buildings in the area too.
In spring and autumn, enjoy mild weather and shorter lines. Summer evenings bring golden-hour light but longer waits. On clear winter days, look for distant views beyond the city.
