Shilla Stay Mapo (Hongdae) (solo trip)

The staff were very nice. The cleaning staff, in particular, spoke excellent English and were extremely helpful throughout our four day stay. However, the bathroom consistently smelled like smoke, and the room was quite dusty. An air purifier would have been very helpful. The TV was not connected to the internet, so casting did not work.

It’s a good tourist hotel, the Hollywood rooms are a bit small but that is due to me being used to bigger rooms so nothing against the hotel. There were some damage to the floor, walls and bathroom things that made me lower it from 4* to 3* on the rooms but it’s nothing that affects you just looks a bit ugly. We stayed at this hotel for five nights in early November. The lobby features a minimalist design, but the room was fairly standard—it was small and showed signs of age. I should've checked before booking but .. Apparently, the hotel does not have air conditioning?? It set to warm - at a set temperature of 24.5 degrees. We were offered two options; to open the window or be given a fan. We opted for fan. We had a fantastic stay at the Shilla Stay Hotel South Korea. We received a warm welcome on arrival and we were given all the information needed to ensure a good stay. The room was spotless and it was spacious enough as there were 3 adults in our party. The location was central and great for walking to restaurants,shops and cafes.
