Novotel Ambassador Seoul Dongdaemun Hotels & Residences (couple trip)

Great service at reception upon arrival. Fabulous corner room on 17th floor with separate bedroom and nice views of town, loved the amenities of the «residency » for a longer stay (the washing machine and kitchen amenities), good breakfast buffet. Location is also great, near metro stations and central enough for a first time traveler to Seoul.

Stayed here for 3 nights. The pros: - Location - central and ideal to get to most places in Seoul. Easily reachable walking and by public transport or taxi. That's where the pros stop. The hotel is run down and tired, it is unloved and housekeeping clearly do the bare minimum. The linen had a musty smell, I asked for it to be changed but unfortunately even the new ones had a bad smell. It was so...

Excellent hotel with good location not far from the main metro lines. The rooms at the residence are very practical and beautifully decorated. Great buffet breakfast. A great hotel. The staff were so welcoming and helpful! The hotel was in a great area which was really easy to navigate. The whole hotel was really clean and the room was really comfortable and cosy! I was solo travelling and it was my first time in South Korea but the staff put me at ease and were so lovely! I will definitely be back!

Positives - Rooms are larger than expected and well appointed. Our group had 4 rooms, 3 different room types and they were all spacious. We had a one bedroom suite which surprisingly had two bathrooms, one with a full sized round bathtub.
