LOTTE City Hotel Myeongdong (couple trip)

This hotel is definitely not its advertised 4-star standard because: 1. The room and pillows have a stale/oldish smell, uncomfortable when sleeping. 2. We stayed at this hotel for two week and really liked the location and proximity to downtown and public transportation. The room was a bit small for two people. The hotel was clean and staff was friendly. The room service was okay because we had our bath robes and cups taken multiple times and not replaced. I booked it the first time visiting Seoul, the rooms are spacious with big bathrooms. There’s also a gym, laundry, a 7/11 connected to it and a halal Indian restaurant too. The gym had various equipment sand staff were very friendly and accommodating (great for booking transportation!). The location itself was really nice as well, lots of historical buildings near rather than main city vibes.

Great location to the night market, cathedral, art museum, and restaurants, all within walking distance. Our room was decent and the hotel is adjacent to Angels in Us coffee shop and 7-11, will a c25 convenient store across the street. Definitely would come back.

There’s a construction site next to the hotel. We booked superior and deluxe rooms, and were given rooms on the third floor directly facing the construction site which was awfully depressing. They accommodated our request for a change to a higher floor the next day, but we ended up staying in standard rooms.
