How Couple-Friendly is Koreana Hotel?

Spacious rooms with city views and bathtub, on-site spa, bar, free bike rental, and strolls to Cheonggyecheon and Deoksugung (300 m) give convenient date options, but no pool or rooftop limits romance.

Considerations for visiting Koreana Hotel (couple trip)

Good match for:

  • Cultural Explorers: Steps from Deoksugung Palace and Cheonggyecheon, ideal for historic strolls and photo ops.
  • Active Couples: Free bike rentals invite joint rides through Seoul’s restored stream.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Nightlife Lovers: Located in a business district, far from Hongdae and Itaewon nightlife scenes.
  • Pool Enthusiasts: No swimming pool on-site for leisure dips.
  • Luxury Resort Seekers: Classic business-hotel style may feel too basic for those seeking resort vibes.

This hotel has spacious rooms for Asia. Super clean! But needs some updates and better water pressure. However, the location could be good if it were not for the FOUR parades, demonstrations, religious concerts and pro-conserve rallies. Thousands gather right in front of the hotel since its the biggest main street near govt in Seoul. They were LOUD. AND makes it hard to even get to the bus or an u...

We are staying here for 5 nights. Our flight arrived early and appreciate the early check in. The room is spacious and amazing location. You can tell back in the days this must have been a glamorous hotel, with their traditional decor. It is now dated but then probably on par with the room rates. The staffs are all friendly. There’s quite a bit of obvious carpet stains. All and all it’s still a go...

I have had an excellent stay at the Koreana Hotel. It's in a perfect location, only a few steps to Gwanghwamun station and City Hall station. You can be in several of the markets in just a few minutes on foot if that's what you want. The view from the rooftop is stunning. You can see all of the Palace, and even the Blue House. The service is phenomenal. The staff are great. I haven't had a bad ex...

But the vibe did a little time warp once we got to our room floor. The polished modern feel faded into a kind of faded grandeur—like the remnants of a once-glamorous era designed for the bougie elite of ye...
