Playful drumming, slapstick and on-stage picks keep ages 3-12 laughing, and a free sound-proof family room lowers volume, but loud bangs, brief darkness and full-price tickets add challenges.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Allows time for pre-show exploration, the 1.5-hour performance, and post-show photos
Attend the non-verbal Nanta show:
Watch the slapstick kitchen performance blending Samulnori rhythms with comedy and percussion
Tip: Arrive 20 minutes early to pick family-room seats for lower volume
Join on-stage segments:
Volunteer when actors invite families up for cooking skits
Tip: Encourage kids to raise hands during rhythmic cues to get selected
Use the Family Room:
Enjoy the show through soundproof glass with its own stereo feed
Tip: Request these seats when booking; they sell out fast
Take post-show photos:
Snap free curtain-call photos on stage with the cast
Tip: Stay until the very end and line up quickly
Browse the lobby exhibition:
Explore rotating displays before or after the show
Tip: Let kids touch safe props and learn behind-the-scenes stories

A comedy of 3 chefs drumming with kitchen utensils, pots and pans. A bit of juggling and magic show as well. Enjoyable family fun. No Korean knowledge required.

Love the show. I initially thought it was like STOMP, but the show exceeded my expectation by inviting audiences to participate in the show. It also has good storyline. A must watch for visitors in Korea!

Super fun and lighhearted play. Had a very good time! The actors are full of energy and talented at a lot of different things. Sadly, the staff is very bossy and make the experience outside the theater very mid.

The Nanta Cooking Show did NOT disappoint! The Red Team was awesome and they did a fantastic job of keeping the crowd entertained for the entire duration! I highly recommend going if you are visiting Seoul and have 90 minutes to spare! (Pictures are only allowed in the very last skit and at curtain call.)

Another great experience had in Seoul.only regret is that I didn’t get the VIP seating. Next time for sure. The show lasts about 90 minutes and it keeps me entertained the entire time so it has to be pretty good.
