Masks, drumming, and courtyard space excite ages 6-12, yet KRW50 000 tickets, spicy menus, and lack of play equipment or stroller rentals mean parents must closely manage boredom and budget.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time to explore the courtyard, enjoy a performance, and sample tea or a family meal without rushing younger children.
Courtyard & Gift Shop:
Let kids run and explore the hanok courtyard and view the carp pond.
Tip: Arrive early to enjoy quiet spaces before crowds.
Traditional Performance Show:
Watch the Mask and Drum Dances with English explanations.
Tip: Book seats for the 18:30 show and arrive 15 minutes early.
Kohojae Tea & Dessert:
Try seasonal shaved ice in summer or warm porridge in winter.
Tip: Ask if kids under 6 can share a tray to reduce cost.
Hands-On Workshops:
Join yutnori games or simple craft making for older kids.
Tip: Call ahead to confirm minimum group size and age limits.

Nice mood. food is just okay. If you want great Korean food, There are lots of better places you could visit. Location is not ideal. Hanok is not that traditional compare to the real hanok.
Coffee House Mary´s
Really nice fine dining experience! The food, service, the place, everything was so great. Must go if you wanna try Korean royal cuisine.

Traditional Tea Ceremony. The cultural dance by one lady was impressive. After the 5 min dance, tea and delicious sweets were served. You can choose between real chairs and sitting on the flat ground.

We loved the traditional music, dance, seating, and food. The dancer was phenomenal! She was like one fluid motion, and her expression never changed. The desserts were beautiful. We were allowed to discover the grounds as well, which were equally good. If you want Traditional Korea, this is a great place to be!

My friend took me here and treated me to traditional Korean tea, and it was quite an experience. The ceremony was really interesting, I’ve never seen anything like it. The deserts were incredibly scrumptious, every single thing tasted great, especially the omija jelly stick. A thoroughly enjoyable and unforgettable experience.
