Kids may like sheep café, photobooths and dance crews, yet heavy crowds and few dedicated play zones beyond Gyeongui Line Forest Park make supervision tiring for parents.
Why 3-4 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time to enjoy key spots at a kid-friendly pace
Live Street Performances:
Colorful dance crews and bands perform near Hongik Children’s Park.
Tip: Visit after 6 PM on Fri–Sat for best shows. Hold kids’ hands and let them tip performers if they wish.
Thanks Nature Café:
Pet and feed two sheep while enjoying waffles and drinks.
Tip: Buy at least one menu item per person. Arrive before 6 PM to avoid long lines.
Gyeongui Line Forest Park:
Linear park with playgrounds, wide paths and picnic areas.
Tip: Bring a small ball or scooter for kids. Use Exit 9 at Hongik Univ. Station for direct access.
Photobooth Studios:
Pick props and neon backdrops to snap fun family photos.
Tip: Book a session online to skip the queue. Let kids choose their favorite filters.

What an amazing place you can explore a whole day in! During the day it slowly starts getting busier and then the evenings feel like it's times square in New York. So heads up haha. Might be lucky to catch some performances! So many food places and cafes to explore and there's pop up events. I recommend checking out Colline, such a lovely cafe surrounded by flowers. Lovely aesthetic.

Hongdae Shopping Street was definitely a highlight of our trip in Seoul. We could walk through here multiple times and still discover new things to do and see each time! Prices are unusually affordable in many stores here, clothes especially! Food options are also plentiful from traditional menu items to modern fusion items. A must go to!

I really enjoyed walking around Hongdae. There’s a great mix of clothing shops, street food, and trendy cafes. It’s a fun place to explore, whether you’re shopping or just soaking in the atmosphere. The vibe is youthful and energetic, but still feels clean and well organized. It does get pretty crowded, especially in the evening, but that’s part of the charm. A must-visit spot if you’re in Seoul ...

Great shopping street. The vibe at night was amazing with locals singing and busking. Shops were great though I wish there were more street food vendors like myeongdong.

There also a Tourist office along the street with washroom beside. We recommend to...
