How Baby-Friendly is Seogwipo Submarine?

Babies ride free but cabin is tight, no stroller entry, no diaper change table, and pressure changes may upset ears; parents must hold infant throughout and improvise care, so visit only if necessary.

Note: Seogwipo Submarine is 45% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Jeju for a more suitable experience.

Considerations for visiting Seogwipo Submarine (with baby)

Positives:

  • Free baby admission: Infants under 3 ride free with valid ID, reducing family cost.
  • Safe cabin environment: Climate-controlled cabin and military-grade safety systems keep pressure and temperature stable.
  • Engaging marine show: Multilingual audio guide and diver interactions keep young children entertained.

Challenges:

  • No stroller access: Strollers are not allowed inside the submarine; use a carrier or sling.
  • Limited baby facilities: No onboard changing stations or nursing rooms. Bring a portable changing pad and cover.
  • Pressure changes: Rapid depth changes at 40 m may unsettle infants; consult a pediatrician if concerned.

Recommended visit duration: 2-3 hours

Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: The 45-minute dive, boarding procedures and optional Munseom Island walk fit in this time with breaks for feeding and diaper changes.

Indeed a good experience , after all submarine is not something you can get to see all the time. No worries for the safety , thus far is zero accident record. However if you got fear with casteiphobic then might need to skip this. Will recommend this definitely.
