What makes it 85% Solo-Friendly: A solo traveler can hike Igidae trail, linger on the glass skywalk, use lockers and cafés, and photograph the islets freely; no schedule conflicts or child safety worries, so suitability is very high.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for solo trip: Enough time to walk the skywalk, explore a trail section, and visit the observatory.
Oryukdo Skywalk:
Stand on the U-shaped glass bridge 37 m above the sea.
Tip: Visit when skies are clear and secure loose items before stepping onto the glass.

Tip: Wear sturdy shoes, bring water, and start at Haeparang-gil Info Center.
Oryukdo Observatory:
Climb to the rooftop of the Tourist Information Center for 360° sea and skyline views.
Tip: Arrive 30 minutes before sunset and bring binoculars or a telephoto lens.
Oryukdo Quay:
Stroll the flat quay facing the islets and watch the tide change.
Tip: Check tide tables to see five or six islands exposed.
Haenyeo Seafood Stall:
Buy fresh sea urchins and abalone from female divers on the quay.
Tip: Bring cash and try the simple seaweed soup at standing tables.
Spring brings yellow canola blooms at nearby Sunrise Park. Summer offers a cooling sea breeze but check for rain. Winter can be windy—dress in layers. Typhoon season (July–August) may close the skywalk.

Good tourist attraction to visit. I thought the skywalk would be a lot longer. It’s free to visit. You can do this in 5-10 mins depending on how many pictures and videos you want.

Around 45 mins from Busan Station.

Amazing. There are woman divers as old as 80 that take a dive for 2 minutes underwater for 7 hours.

The oryukdo islets are absolutely gorgeous on a sunny or cloudy day. The rocks have a unique quality to them and the water is a lovey teal. The walkway outlined for you to the “skywalk” (not really a skywalk) is nice to stroll through. There are also expansive gardens along the way you can enjoy.
