Babies are allowed, yet stroller space shrinks in peak hours and aisles are uneven; no on-site nursing room or diaper table means parents must improvise or walk to nearby subway facilities.
Note: International Market is 40% Baby-Friendly. You may want to consider other Baby-Friendly Things to Do in Busan for a more suitable experience.
Why 3-4 hours visit duration is ideal for with baby: Enough time to browse stalls, sample street food, and use baby facilities without rushing.
Stroller-Friendly Market Stroll:
Walk the main covered alleys on flat ground with your stroller.
Tip: Start before 11:00 to avoid peak crowds in narrow lanes.
Sample Mild Street Snacks:
Try fish cakes (eomuk) or milmyeon at small carts on low stools.
Tip: Order one portion to share between adults and offer baby small bites.
Explore Art Street Section:
Visit Sections 3–4 to see local murals and artisan stalls.
Tip: Hold your baby close in crowded areas and snap photos of colorful art.
Pick Kid-Friendly Souvenirs:
Browse candy bags, plush toys, and keychains under ₩5,000.
Tip: Look for sealed snacks safe for baby and small novelties.
Find Nearby Baby Rooms:
Head to Nampo Underground Shopping Center for nursing rooms.
Tip: Ask staff to unlock the baby room on the BIFF Square level.

I have visited many markets around the world. Most of them are similar. And I’m not looking to buy souvenirs or anything for a home or clothing so … the Gukje Market was just ok. Not unique. Coffee at Cong Caphe was terrific.

Very large market located in Busan, selling a diverse variety of products and goods. Just from strolling here, you can buy blankets, clothes, pots and pans, and much more for very reasonable prices. I recommend coming here for a traditional market experience, since it had so many vendors selling very many products.

I enjoyed walking through the market. There are many stands selling all my bfs of things. The prices are good. It's worth going to this market to get better prices. It's a covered market so if it's raining it is a good place to get in out of the rain.

Had some of the tastiest iconic Korean street food including dumplings, spicy rice cake, fish cake, blood sausage, clam noodles, and honey ice cream. Also bought nice socks made in Korea as well as Korean instant drinks.
