Couples find an easy date spot with lantern-lit streets, shared bowls of jajangmyeon, and October parades; the area is small so strolling feels intimate, but there is little quiet seating.
Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for couple trip: Enough time to walk under both gateway arches, enjoy street snacks, and dine at a Chinese restaurant
Photo walk under Shanghai Archway:
Stand beneath the two ornate gate arches facing Busan Station
Tip: Visit when lanterns are off for clear daytime shots
Evening lantern-lit stroll:
Walk the three-block street as red lanterns and neon signs light up
Tip: Start around 6 PM to catch dusk colors and avoid late-night crowds
Dinner at Hongseongbang:
Try jajangmyeon and crispy dumplings at one of Busan’s oldest Chinese eateries
Tip: Arrive by 5 PM or after 8 PM to skip the dinner rush
Film camera walking tour:
Join a guided photo route with a disposable camera and tutorial
Tip: Book in advance through Busan Travel Lounge for morning or late-afternoon slots

This Chinatown mainly restaurants and massages and a Chinese school. It wasn't busy like many other Chinatowns around the world. This Chinatown is located conveniently across from the Busan train station and adjacent to Texas Street. The street is well kept clean.
