Considerations for visiting Jewel Changi Airport (with kids)

Positives:

  • Family-Friendly Facilities: Baby care rooms, stroller rentals, phone charging and ATMs are available on every level.
  • Convenient Access: Direct MRT link at Jewel station and covered walkways from Changi Terminal 1.

Challenges:

  • Height Restrictions: Some attractions need children to be at least 110 cm tall to enter.
  • Weekend Crowds: Expect longer lines at Canopy Park and ticket counters on weekends and holidays.

Recommended visit duration: 2-3 hours

Why 2-3 hours visit duration is ideal for with kids: Enough time to enjoy free gardens, catch the waterfall show, and explore Canopy Park play zones without rushing.

No, you can't miss this one! It's so attracting and mindblowing. I came here about at 11 am to watch the rain vortex, the vibes is calming but you obviously have to take a look at where you are standing and sitting, cause it will be so crowded here. Many visitors come here just to enjoy the show, especially those who have many hours in transit at the airport.

This is definitely not your average airport and it's no surprise it's won the best airport award so many times Many of the walkways are carpeted which was different It was a little confusing to find the Jewel as it's not inside the main terminal building as we thought. Was easy to get there via the airport train service Like everything it is huge with many shopping options The waterfall area i...

The airport is huge, but super cool and high-tech! Everything’s so modern and well-organized—from immigration to the shopping and food areas. Lots of comfy seats, charging spots, and even indoor gardens that make you wanna hang out longer. Check-in and baggage process is fast and smooth too. Feels more like a mall or theme park than an airport. No wonder it’s one of the best airports in the world!

It’s a beautiful and relaxing place for travelers. If you get time before your flight, you should go and visit Jewel. There is also a wide range of shops to buy souvenirs and all the things you need to buy as shopping in it is streamlined. Don’t forget to take beautiful photos at Jewel 😉

It's quite nice to sit and watch the rain vortex when waiting for a flight or enjoying a meal at one of the many restaurants here. The waterfall is great both by day and by night however there are light shows in the evening.
