May be many people will not agree with my 5* rating to this lodge, the reason of this best lodge is its location and its price. It’s huge to accommodate many in very reasonable price. If this lodge is not there many will not afford to go and live in expensive Queenstown. Don't book a loft room unless you are under 4 foot 2. The photos are very deceptive. My husband was able to get up the ladder halfway but as he is 6 foot 2 he was unable to physically get up to get into the bed even with crawling. the ceiling is ridiculously low, the bed is too close to the roof. left without trying for a refund as per other reviews seen it was pointless.

Beds are old very soft and you can feel the springs. The bathroom smells like mould. The walls and ceilings are thin so you can hear everything. Guests do not honor the quiet after 10pm rule so we got woken all night by drunk people. Basics are provided and it is otherwise clean. Great for cheap but not for sleep!
